Fragrant Harbour is a stunning Margaret River coastal property, positioned on an elevated ridge facing directly west and capturing magnificent 180 degree views of the Indian Ocean. It is perfect for family holidays in summer with its resort style swimming pool and being just 10 mins walk from some of the regions best beaches. It is equally beautiful as a winter retreat with its protected landscaped gardens, cosy log fire* and 8-seater heated outdoor spa** to relax in after a day of wine sampling and sightseeing. Fragrant Harbour is devised as a retreat from the stress and pace of city living, and is undoubtedly one of the most luxurious rental properties in the region.
The house is elegantly designed by a renowned local architect and tastefully styled with a collection of fine artworks and furnishings. There are multiple living and dining areas, and a state-of-the-art kitchen crafted especially for entertaining. It is the heart of the open plan home containing a graceful wave shaped benchtop carved from Corian stone, a banquette seat framing the views of Gnarabup Ridge, chef grade appliances and a separate larder for food storage. The kitchen flows into the main lounge with flat screen TV, modular leather seating and log fire* on one side and the main dining area seating 8 on the other side. On climbing the brushed aluminium and Marri wood spiral staircase, Fragrant Harbour presents yet another lounge area to relax in. It features an antique Chinese daybed as well as a 6 inch astronomical telescope. The sliding glass stacker doors open up the retreat and upstairs bedrooms to a communal viewing terrace, with outdoor lounge and dining areas, from where you can enjoy the spectacular sunsets over a few glasses of Margaret River wine.
Fragrant Harbour can comfortably accommodate 8 in the form of 3 master bedrooms, all with their own en-suite bathroom and shower and a large 4th bedroom with flexible sleeping options. On the ground floor is the largest master with king size bed and the flexible bedroom, which itself sleeps up to 4 guests, and can be configured as either 2/4 singles or 1/2 king size beds. A large communal bathroom with shower, spa bath and separate toilet is situated directly opposite. Upstairs are 2 further masters, 1 with king size bed and 1 with queen size bed. Each bedroom is individually styled and with relaxing ocean views.
The rear of the property has been landscaped into 3 levels, with sweeping vistas of the Gnarabup ridge and all well protected from the wind. Sliding stacker doors lead from the house to a patio entertainment area complete with lounge and 8 seater dining. On the next level down is the heated spa**, outdoor shower, trampoline, lawn and hammock. Then at the bottom of the property is the resort style swimming pool and Balinese bale surrounded by bamboo and manicured gardens. Pool toys and inflatables for the kids, as well as snorkelling gear for the beach, are all provided by the pool. There is another lounge/dining area by the pool, perfect for movies nights, featuring a large flat-screen TV and Wii kids entertainment system together with a bathroom, kitchenette and another outdoor shower.
Fragrant Harbour is conveniently situated very close to local amenities such as the Prevelly General Store, White Elephant Beach Cafe and The Common Bar and Bistro. Gnarabup is child friendly with a park including a playground, and several stunning beaches for both swimming and surfing. The Margaret River township is a short 10-15 minute drive inland, as are some of the regions very best wineries including Leeuwin Estate, Voyager Estate, Xanadu Estate, Watershed, Cape Mentelle, Redgate and Stella Bella.
There is WIFI throughout the house, as well as a computer programmed CBus lighting system and Sonos sound system, and reverse cycle air-conditioning and heating.
